| Gena Hibberts - Student of the year |
Gena Hibberts of Mountain City, Student of the Year at the Tennessee Technology Center at Elizabethton for 2009, is a regional finalist in competition sponsored by the Tennessee Board of Regents to select a student ambassador for the 27 technology centers in Tennessee. She will compete for statewide Student of the Year honors on April 26. During the selection process, students will deliver a speech to describe how technical education impacted their life. Ms. Hibberts enrolled in the 12-month Practical Nursing Training Program at TTC-Elizabethton after becoming a displaced worker due to a plant closing.
