Have you heard "What goes around comes around?" There may be some truth in that old saying. Wanda Jones was first associated with the Tennessee Technology Center at Elizabethton as a student. Ms. Jones was awarded a Bookkeeping Diploma, after completing the business technology program at TTC-Elizabethton, and was later employed in the business offices of TTC-Elizabethton and Northeast State Community College.
After graduating from ETSU with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting, Ms. Jones worked in the private sector in various managerial positions, including Accounts Receivable Manager for a global company and General Accounting Manager, Controller and Regional Controller for a major nursing home chain.
In 1996, Ms. Jones was named instructor of Business Systems Technology at TTC–Elizabethton. Ms. Jones also serves as the department coordinator, maintains a viable Business Advisory Committee, advisor to the National Vocational Technical Honor Society and teaches online classes for the Tennessee Board of Regents. Ms. Jones said she enjoys all her work, especially helping students realize their career goals.
